CDL-B Delivery Driver

Job Summary:

This position's primary function is to accurately deliver products to restaurants, institutional facilities, distributors, markets and other locations as specified and in a timely manner.

Essential Duties:

1. Delivery of orders to customer stops; unload product & check in orders with customers; capture photo evidence of delivery, obtain delivery signature from customer; collection of full payment from customers; safe driving; obey all traffic laws.

2. Picking up product at various locations.

3. Following designated maintenance schedule for trucks.
 

Skills Required:

1. Clearly notate discrepancies (shortages, miss-picks, or returns) on invoices.

2. Proper handling of all monetary receipts.

3. Return empty boxes, bread trays and milk crates.

4. Coordinate with supervisor for pick-ups.

5. Return to warehouse and clean, sweep and unload truck with returned merchandise and notifying supervisor of returns.

6. Checking in with receipts and invoices with accounting department.

7. Pleasant, friendly and cooperative with customers.

8. Neat and clean appearance wearing designated Atlas uniforms which will be provided.

9. Must keep accurate driver time sheet daily.

10. Other duties as assigned.
 

Educational Requirements Needed to Perform the Duties of the Job:

1. High School/GED equivalent

2. Excellent reading and math skills.

Physical, Mental and Psychological Requirements:

1. Must be able to lift 50 lbs of product when delivering to customers.

2. Respectful to supervisors, co-workers and customers/vendor drivers
 

Licensing or other special certifications required:

1. CDL-B driving license.

2. Clean driving record.

3. Department of Transportation Medical (DOT) card must be always valid. Any tickets incurred for an invalid medical card will be the employee's responsibility
