Job Description:
The Living and Learning Enrichment Center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in Northville, Michigan. We are an organization focused on helping people with autism and developmental disabilities gain social and work skills. This job is focused on maintaining our estate, tending to our crops, and taking care of our animals. Backgrounds in these fields are preferred but not required.
Responsibilities Include:
- Lawn/estate maintenance
- Mowing, weeding, trimming hedges, etc
- Painting, light repairs
- Garden tending
- Planting, watering, weeding, harvesting crops
- General maintenance of tools and equipment used
- Tractor, mowers, lawn equipment, Hand tools
- Animal care
- Feeding, watering, maintaining cleanliness of animal enclosures
- Working with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities
- Supervision of simple tasks.
Requirements:
- Background check
- Lift 50lbs
- Must be able to work well as a team and independently
- Good communication skills
Typical work hours are 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. The schedule may be Tuesday to Saturday or Thursday to Sunday. Some evenings, weekends, or holidays may be required for events and other operational needs, so flexibility is a plus.
