Salary Range: $30,000-$31,500

Job Summary:
Under the direction and guidance of the Office Manager, Seedlings’ Customer Care Specialist is the first point of contact for customers and donors, ensuring customer satisfaction, building strong relationships, resolving issues, and providing accurate information about Seedlings products and programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the initial point of contact for customer and donor inquiries and issues, responding professionally, efficiently, and empathetically
- Handle all inbound and outbound customer and donor calls regarding placing orders, making donations, catalog/information requests, shipment tracking, returns/exchanges, and general questions
- Send/receive emails to customers and donors to communicate order issues, policies, and pertinent information
- Develop in-depth product knowledge and provide accurate information to customers on Seedlings’ products and programs
- Maintain high customer satisfaction by building rapport and establishing strong relationships with customers and donors
- Coordinate with the Office Manager & Administrative Assistant to provide support for daily administrative process including:
- Resolving customer issues
- monitor and process orders on the backend of Seedlings’ website
- verify and process paid orders in Sage 50 Accounting Software
- provide support on processing free program orders, as needed
- Coordinate with the Office Manager to maintain a positive, healthy, and fun physical working environment
- decorate office seasonally
- coordinate office celebrations
- Other office duties, as assigned, which may change at any time with or without notice
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Proven customer service/office experience, nonprofit experience is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent required, a Bachelor’s degree is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and conflict-resolution skills
- Exceptional computer skills including Microsoft 365, Sage 50 Quantum Accounting, etc. (training provided)
- A desire to help give the gift of literacy to visually impaired children around the world

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The
employee frequently is required to sit for extended periods at a computer; stand; walk; use hands to
finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms; the ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
