For our second inclusion roundtable, we will focus on the experiences of minority women in the workplace. Our discussion will center around the experiences of two professional women, who hold executive positions and serve on the Livonia Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, along with their service to many other community causes. Wafa Dinaro and Van Nguyen will talk about unique experiences they faced within their respective cultures, families, and workplaces; how they learned from them; and how they emerged to build successful careers. Both will talk how discussing these experiences can lead to teaching moments and help build an inclusive workplace.
Admission is free but registration is required via Livonia Chamber website: www.livonia.org.
Initial discussion available via Facebook Live on the Livonia Chamber of Commerce's page.
ABOUT INCLUSION ROUNDTABLES
As part of the Livonia Chamber of Commerce’s ongoing diversity and inclusion initiatives, the Chamber is partnering with the Livonia Human Relations Commission and Masco Corporation to organize open, informal discussions in a judgement-free environment with local residents and business people to help us engage, increase awareness of, and connect better with more people.
Community-minded people of various backgrounds will lead the sessions and guide the breakout discussions that will help grow your network in business and in the community.
