DESCRIPTION:Dr. Tarek Sobh is completing his first year as the president of Lawrence Technological University in Southfield. The eighth president in the school's 90-year history\, Dr. Sobh held various administrative roles at the school since 2020 as part of his extensive academic career that took him around the world with his work as a researcher and engineer.\n\n \n\nDr. Sobh will share his vision for growing LTU and lead a greater discussion on how to change the conventional wisdom about the way we train and credential future workers. He talks about shifting from four years of schooling before working into a micro-credential model where we learn as we work.\n\n \n\nAfter his presentation\, he will answer questions   giving our audience a great opportunity to ask questions of the leader from one of the leading technological universities.
